Syrian - Iraqi environmental cooperation

Syria's Minister of Local Administration, Hilal Atrash, on Saturday discussed with his Iraqi counterpart, Mishkat Momen, the standing bilateral relations of cooperation in sphere of environment and future prospects.
During the meeting, Atrash underlined the amity of the Syrian people to their Iraqi brothers, stressing Syria's principled policy to stand by the Iraqi people until Iraq restores its efficient role within the Arab fold and in the world.
He expressed Syria's readiness for cooperation with the Iraqi people in sphere of environment.
For her part, the Iraqi minister indicated that her visit to Syria aims at inspecting all aspects of the Syrian expertise in sphere of environment, hoping to conclude an agreement regulating cooperation between the two states in that regard.
