25 percent rise of French tourists to Morocco in H1 2004, Official

The number of French tourists in Morocco has increased by 25 percent during the first half of 2004, as compared to the same period last year, said Thursday the National Tourism Office (ONMT) delegate in France.
Redouane Rerhaye said during an information day on the French market that 572,000 French tourists visited Morocco during the first half of 2004, totaling 2,235,071 guest nights.
France has a very strong tourism potential for Morocco, he said, adding that the number of French tourists to Morocco may reach 2.5 million by 2010.
Rerhaye said Morocco is the favorite destination of French tourists, noting that the north African country's image satisfaction rate is of 97%.
