Raid on Falluja in coordination with Allawi government, two Americans were killed

The American occupation forces yesterday made a new attack against Falluja and a raid was launched that targeted a gathering for "terrorist" elements and resulted in wounding five persons including three children, while two American soldiers were killed and a former Iraqi army general was killed working for the occupation authority in Musil.

In a statement, the American army said that it had carried out a " limited attack" targeted between 10 to 12 fighters of al-Tawhid and al-Jihad of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. The American army said that the raid was carried out in coordination with the Iraqi government. Witnesses said that the American planes fired one missile landed in a garden in al-Jbeil quarters in the city and the raid was the 7th of its kind since one month.

The American army statement said that large number of tribes chieftains and people of Falujja expressed their regret of the terrorist activities in their city and support the series of the recent attacks against al-Zarqawi forces in Falujja.

Medical sources in Falluja said that the raid resulted in wounding five persons including three children while the people of the area denied that the targeted house shelters any fighter.

The raid came hours after one American tank collided on Thursday evening by a small bus carrying Iraqi civilians near Baghdad and this resulted, according to the American army in killing nine including one child and wounding other 10. The Iraqi police said that the bus was transporting people participants in a wedding held in a village adjoining Baghdad.

In a separate incident the American army said that two Iraqis were injured when one American military vehicle collided by a civilian car in Baqouba, but the Iraqi police said that the incident resulted in killing two Iraqis and wounding other three.

Meantime, the American army announced the killing of two of its members and wounding a third on Thursday in a bomb explosion implanted on the road sideline near Sameraa.
