Lahoud reviews activities of Syrian- Lebanese joint committees

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud and Secretary General of the Syrian-Lebanese Higher Council Nasri Khouri on Friday reviewed stages which have been implemented regarding the council decisions and work of the Syrian-Lebanese joint committees.
In a statement after his meeting with Lahoud, Khouri said that he briefed Lahoud on the current contacts to renew the cooperation agreement between Syria and Lebanon in field of electricity.
He added that topics of building water dams particularly Orontes dam and the process of activating the border's joint bureaus in addition to railways were also reviewed.
Later, Khouri reviewed with Lebanese Army Commander, Gen. Michael Suleiman the fraternal relations between Syria and Lebanon and issues of mutual concern.
