Bahrain wants to benefit from Morocco's parliamentary experience
Morocco-Bahrain, Politics, 7/17/2004
Bahrain wants to benefit from the parliamentary experience of Morocco, a model of legislative and judicial development.
This came at a meeting in Rabat between Moroccan premier, Driss Jettou, and speaker of the Bahraini chamber of representatives, Khalifa Ben Ahmed Al Dahrani, currently on a visit to Morocco.
The two officials voiced satisfaction with the recent creation of a Moroccan-Bahraini Friendship and Brotherhood Parliamentary Group, which will seek to bring the two countries' parliaments closer.
The Bahraini speaker, who is leading a parliamentary delegation, voiced admiration at the kingdom's reforms, part of its democracy consolidation efforts.
The two men also praised the consolidation of bilateral ties, as evidenced by the intense visit exchanges during recent months.
Jettou assured Khalifa Ben Ahmed Al Dahrani of Morocco's disposal to support initiatives of Bahraini investors and promote mutually beneficial partnerships.
The Bahraini delegation later held talks with heads of parliamentary groups, focused on the two parliament's achievements in several realms.
They had on Thursday met speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives (parliament lower chamber), Abdelouahed Radi.
