Sudan FM s confers with Iranian counterpart in Tehran

Sudanese Foreign Minister, Mustafa Othman Ismael, has stressed the necessity for cooperation with Iran in the current circumstances in the face of the pressure to which both countries are being exposed, stressing his country support to the Iranian right in utilizing the nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
In a joint press conference held on Friday with his Iranian counterpart, Kamal Kharrazi, wrapping up a session of talks in which prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed, Ismail indicated that the preparations for the Iranian President's visit to Sudan in next Oct. were also discussed, in addition to the Iranian donations which are scheduled to arrive soon in Darfur to ease the plight of the people there.
For his part, Kharrazi expressed hope that Sudan will manage to solve its internal crisis without any foreign intervention. He expressed his country's concern regarding the presence of the US troops in Iraq.
Regarding the tense US.-Iranian relations, Kharrazi indicated that there are historical reasons behind such tense relations due to the US. practices against the Iranian people and the US. bias against the Palestinian issue.
He stressed Iran's commitment to the signed agreements with the international Atomic Energy Agency which inspected the Iranian installations and consequently Iran has the right to utilize the atomic energy for peaceful purposes.
