Iranian official: foreign troops must leave Iraq

Iran's Secretary of the Guardian Council (GC) Ahmad Jannati stressed on Friday Iranian people and government's right to make use of nuclear energy technology in peaceful purposes emphasizing that " Iran would never give up its right to that effect." In a Friday prayers sermon, Jannati called on foreign troops to leave Iraq asserting the Iraqi people's right to self-determination and to hold free and honest elections in Iraq.
He called on Iraqis to reject all kinds of discord in favor of building an independent and free Iraq.
