UMA, best integration potential in Africa (ECA)

The Maghreb Arab Union (UMA) has the best regional potential to achieve its member countries' integration, said Wednesday, an official of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) at the end of the presentation of a report on regional integration in Africa.
Hakim ben Hammouda, ECA's Trade and Regional Integration Division director, deplored, however, that in spite of this potential, integration within the Maghreb region faces many difficulties that have been hindering the holding of a summit between member countries for many years,
