Morocco to send batch of medicines to Iraq

Morocco has decided to send a batch of medicines to Iraq, including antibiotics and drugs for chronic diseases.
The Foreign ministry on Thursday said in a release this move, under the instructions of King Mohammed VI, has come in response to the urgent request by the World Health Organization (WHO) to provide Iraq with essential drugs to face this difficult juncture.
The release added that Morocco's initiative is part of a its tradition in expressing international solidarity, especially with the Arab world.
Recently, Morocco has voiced readiness to host training courses in favour of elements of the Iraqi police, army and civil defense in Moroccan centers and institutes.
In a message to Iraqi Prime Minister, Iyad Hachem Allawi, King Mohammed VI had expressed "highest consideration" for the "positive steps as well as the continued initiatives" made in favor of the unity of Iraq, its prosperity and stability.
