Three Americans killed in Iraq, Zeibari: instability in Iraq does not serve anyone

The government of the Iraqi prime minister Eyad Allawi called on the neighboring states yesterday not to solve its problems with Washington at the expense of Iraq, noting also areas where nuclear items were smuggled to during the war.

The Iraqi foreign minister Hoshyar Zeibari, who is preparing to appoint several ambassadors abroad, said that he is trying to " change the image of Iraq from a law violating country to a peaceful country and a responsible member in the international community.. it is a big and difficult challenge that takes time." Zeibari announced his determination to appoint 43 ambassadors in the Middle East including Syria, Iran, Europe, Asia and the US, noting that " will constitute another major station towards the return back of the Iraqi foreign policy."

Meantime, the American army announced the killing of one American soldier and one civilian and one attacker in an attack at a military vehicle in Beji to the north of Iraq. He explained that one explosive implanted on one road side to the south of al-Musil blew off when a vehicle was passing by and resulted in killing one Iraqi soldier and one civilian and wounding one American military man." The spokesman added " while the wounded was treated at the site of the incident, a speedy car approached and its driver opened fire and the soldiers retaliated and killed the attacking man."

The American army said that two soldiers were killed and other three injured when a bomb went off in an American patrol yesterday near Sameraa. The occupation army also announced the killing of four marines in a car accident on Saturday in al-Anbaar governorate.

Meantime, the Iraqi police said that one police colonel was injured and one woman was strongly wounded in two separate attacks in Karkouk. The police added that one Kurdish man works as a translator from the American army was found slaughtered, noting that the killed man is a member in the Kurdistani National Federation led by Jalal al-Talibani.
