Palestine-Israel, Politics, 7/9/2004
The Palestinian parliamentarian in the Israeli Knesset Azemi Beshara and his colleagues continued their sit in and food strike for the 6th running day in protest of the wall of separation in the West Bank.
Beshara started his sit in last Saturday in a tent in al-Raam town near Jerusalem and he was joined later by several national and political figures.
The higher council for the Sharia judiciary chaired by Sheikh al-Tamimi -- who visited the tent, held its monthly meeting in the tent of the sit in as an expression of his solidarity with the protesters in protest of the wall.
A delegation representing the Coptic Church in Jerusalem arrived also in the tent carrying a message from the chairman of the Coptic Church Pope Shanoudah.
