Syria detains 19 persons under the charge of political party affiliation
The human rights organization in Syria said that the authorities detained 19 persons in Qatana area to the south west of the Syrian capital Damascus, over suspicion they belong to an Islamic party.

Yemeni forces kill scores of al-Houthi supporters
Yemeni military sources in Saadah province in Yemen said that 40 persons were killed and scores wounded during confrontations which took place during the two past days between the security forces and supporters of the Shiite extremist Hussein al-Houthi in Marran mountain including 10 killed and wounded among the security forces.

African federation prepares to send forces to Darfour
