Occupation forces raid Gaza, discuss separation in Cairo; One al-Aqsa group member killed in an Israeli ambush in Jenin

One member of al-Aqsa group, of the Fatah movement, was killed and other 3 injured in Jenin in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces which incurred in the city.

News reports said that the occupation forces killed Khaled al-Hawi ( 25 year old) after it installed an ambush for him in the eastern quarters of Jenin. News reports said that the occupation forces are launching a military operation concentrated in particular in the eastern quarters of the city where these forces were deployed in their lands and allies. The Israeli forces imposed curfew on the city.

The reports said that more than 30 Israeli military vehicles blocked the entrances of the city and the Israeli warplanes flew at low altitudes over it, noting that the occupation forces prevented journalists from having access to the stage of the events, and asked for more military reinforcements.

On the other hand, the occupation army demolished by dynamites yesterday at dawn in al-Tel village, near Nablus to the north of the west bank, the house of the family of martyr Thaer Ramadan from the Islamic Jihad movement who was killed on Saturday in an attack foiled against a Jewish settlement.

In Hebron, the occupation forces destroyed three houses sheltering 10 Palestinians.

In Gaza, the Israeli helicopters bombarded two smith workshops in al-Zeitoun quarters and Jabalia camp for the Palestinian refugees.

The Israeli helicopters fired several missiles at the two workshops and injured 6 Palestinian. Palestinian security sources said that at least 10 missiles were fired at the three targets. Israel alleged that the smith workshops are use in manufacturing mortars shelling and al-Qassam missiles by which Palestinian gunmen attack southern Israel.

In Rafah, one Palestinian was killed yesterday at dawn when Israeli soldiers opened fire at the southern part of the sector. One official at the police directorate said that martyr Rifaat Omat Abu Omra ( 28 year old) was killed after he was hit by one bullet fired by the occupation forces positioned at Salah Eddine Gate at the Egyptian borders.

At the political level, a high ranking Israeli official at the ministry of defense went in secret to Cairo to meet with the chairman of the Egyptian intelligence Lt. Gen. Omar Suleiman to discuss the issue of the expected Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

The Israeli daily Maareve said that the retired Gen. Amoud Jalaad, the main advisor of the Israeli defence minister Shaoul Mofaz discussed the possibility of Israel's giving up the border area between Gaza and Egypt when the withdrawal takes place.
