On sending Arab and Japanese forces to Iraq

The secretary general of the Arab League announced yesterday that the issue of sending Arab forces to Iraq falls in the context of the sovereignty of any country, noting that " there is a desire for a collective Arab effort in this regard."
On the other hand, some 80 Japanese soldiers arrived on Sunday in Kuwait on their way to southern Iraq, where they schedule to replace a group of Japanese soldiers. A Japanese military spokesman said that " this group will replace a unit assuming the Japanese humanitarian mission in Iraq."
