Israel denies interrogation of detainees in Iraq

The Israeli cabinet yesterday denied the participation of Israelis in interrogating detainees in Iraq. This was in reaction to statements made by the American woman Gen. officer Ghanis Karbinski, the former official for Abu Ghreib prison, situated to the west of Baghdad.
A statement issued by the office of the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon said:" we deliberately deny such baseless allegations."
Meantime, the Israeli foreign minister Silvan Shalom denied in an interview with the Israeli army radio these news.
Shalom added " this story is groundless and I have no idea on the intention behind launching it," adding that the Israelis are not involved in any form in Iraq.
Karbinski who was dismissed from her post in May over torture acts against Iraqi prisoners said that she has evidences on the Participation of Israeli in interrogating Iraqi detainees in another jail.
She disclosed in a statement to the BBC that she had met one of the investigator and he was talking Arabic language at an interrogation center in Baghdad and he told her that he is not an Arab but from Israel.
