Libya discloses the readiness of Algerians to attack western targets in Africa

A source close to the European intelligence fighting department disclosed that the Libyan security monitored ten days ago several members of al-Salafeyah group for fighting and call ( al-Dawa' Wal Qital), while carrying out training operations with the aim to carry out armed attacks against western interests in Africa.
The French Language " Journal Dimanche " paper issued on Sunday quoted him as saying that the gunmen led by Ammar al-Sayefi are preparing to carry out attacks in Africa targeting diplomatic or touristic American and European interests.
According to the paper, the Libyan security department got to know that al-Salafeya group for fighting and call carried out several operations in the mountainous heights of Tebisti.
The paper added that the Libyans received information that the group recruit volunteers from Chad, Sudan, Libya, Mali and Mauritania in order to train them on how to use explosives by very sophisticated weapons.
However, al-Salafeyah group for call and fighting, one of the main armed Islamic groups in Algeria announced in September 2001, loyalty to al-Qaida organization led by Osama Bin Laden. Its leaders Nabil Sahrawi was killed together with its other leading figures by the end of June during a mopping up operation by the Algerian army in Bajjaya area ( 260 Km to the east of the capital Algiers. ).
