France support Saddam's legitimate court, Iran wants it to be open
Iraq-France, Politics, 7/3/2004

The spokeswoman for the French foreign ministry considered that the question of the legitimacy of the Iraqi government and the court the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein is brought before is no longer debated because "Iraq's restoring back its sovereignty " locks the door before any controversy on this point."

Former Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashimi Rafsanjani called in Friday's sermon to have Saddam Hussein's trial complete and open, deploring not to enrole the Iranian- Iraqi war in the context of accusations addressed to him.
