Darfur rebels refuse to take part in peace talks
Sudan, Politics, 7/3/2004
Rebel groups in Darfur district to the west of Sudan announced rejection to take part in the peace talks in Chad which were due to start on Friday ( Yesterday), accusing the government of violating the cease fire decision which was reached in April.
A spokesman for the al-Adala Wal Musawat (Justive And Equity) movement Abu Baker Hamid al-Nour said that the movement will not attend the talks in Chad because the government's forces continue bombardment of Darfur area, while Janjuwid forces continue bombardment, stealing and burning several villages in Darfur.
