Syrian- Turkish Relations booming

The Syrian-Turkish relations have recently witnessed a remarkable development in all domains and it might be the exchanged visits that gave strong boost to cement these ties particularly in the economy and trade fields, a SANA report on Thursday said.

The report depicted these relations as "advanced" and that as to activate economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, a number of suggestions and recommendations have been presented, at top of which is to review the trade agreement signed between the two countries.

The reconsideration of the accord would take into consideration the current and future developments of the two countries' trade relations whether in the possibility of Turkey's joining the European Union or through Syria's signing the greatest Arab Free trade zone accord and the possibility of Syria's signing the partnership Association with EU.

" Signing an agreement on protecting and encouraging the joint investments between the two countries lays the legal ground to regulate these investments and making use of the investment opportunities available in Syria," the report added.

The suggestions provide for the necessity of taking the suitable measures in the two countries to facilitate the trade of transit between Turkey and the Gulf states, increasing cooperation in the field of transport, re-running the " Quick Orient Train" and enhance tourist cooperation between Syria and Turkey.
