The first Saudi to surrender himself after the King grace period
Saudi Arabia, Politics, 6/29/2004

The Saudi authorities said that one person among those accused of terrorism has surrendered himself to the security forces, to be therefore the first person who responds with the call advocated by the call of King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz to members of al-Qaida organization to surrender themselves within one month.

The Saudi news agency said quoting an official source that " Sabaan Bin Muhammad Bin Abdullah al-Leilhi al-Shahri, who is wanted in the security course and disappeared since 2002 had surrendered himself to the security forces." The source added that " according to the set directives, he was permitted his family and stay with them until a date for investigation over accusations is set."

Despite the call advocated by the Saudi authorities announced by the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Abdul Aziz on behalf of King Fahd, Saleh al-Ofi, who is believed as leading the organization in Saudi Arabia after the killing of Abdul Aziz al-Muqrran, stressed he will not leave the Saudi territories until " enemy of the God are expelled or the land are irrigated by their blood."

In an interview at an Islamic position on the Internet, al-Ofi called for staying in the Kingdom to fight against the westerners instead of al-Jihad in Iraq.

He said that he and his colleagues refuse to leave Saudi Arabia, adding that the US would not have invaded Iraq without having a presence in Saudi Arabia. He said that the " Crusader" enemy occupied Iraq through Saudi Arabia.
