Occupation authority desolves, Bremer leaves Iraq

It was announced officially in Baghdad the desolving of the interim coalition government in Iraq after authority turnover today to the Interim Iraqi government led by Eyad Allawi, two days before the set date in what seemed to be an attempt to avoid any attacks might be made by gunmen there.

One official in the occupation authority said that as from today ( Monday) there is no existence of the provisional coalition authority.

This, however, comes hours after handing over the authority to the Iraqi government in a modest celebration held in the green area- which includes the headquarters of the occupation authority including the prime minister of the provisional Iraqi government Eyad Allawi who received the documents officially from Bremer.

It was, however, due, that the occupation authority will hand over the sovereignty to the Iraqi provisional government on Wednesday, June 30, In a later development, it was announced today, Monday, that Paul Bremer left Iraq on a military plane immediately after handing over the authority.

For his part, the prime minister in Iraq, Eyad Allawi, said that his government will announce today or tomorrow new urgent measures in an attempt to restore security. He stressed his government's commitment to the measures of making elections in January 2005.

For his part, the US President George W. Bush welcomed the authority transfer to the Iraqis as an indicator that its new officials are serious to easing down acts of violence in Iraq.

The Jordanian foreign minister Marwan Muasher welcomed the authority transfer from the occupation forces to the provisional Iraqi government.

The Jordanian minister stressed the "need of supporting the Iraqi people and government in these conditions," stressing Jordan's readiness to give the help.

Meantime, the Iraqi resistance continued its attacks against the occupation forces. In the most recent attack, the British defense ministry announced that one soldier was killed and two injured in an attack by bombs against their patrol in al-Basra to the south of Iraq.

The American occupation forces in Iraq also announced the killing of one marine by the bullets of the Iraqi resistance men in al-Anbar governorate to the west of the country.

One American was also killed after the resistance forces hit one American military plane over Baghdad airport. This however, came after one American military spokesman announced the killing of another soldier in an attack against the green region which includes the headquarters of the occupation forces in Baghdad.

In a later development, the occupation army announced in another statement, the missing of one soldier in Iraq. A military spokesman said that the soldier Ali Hassoun of a Lebanese origin is missing as from June 21, but did not confirm that he was taken as a hostage.
