Quartet supports the Egyptian efforts, vast breaking in operation in Nablus

The Quartet committee in charge of the Middle East file stressed its strong support for the Egyptian efforts aiming at completing the Israeli withdrawal due to be made from Gaza.
A statement issued by the committee issued in conclusion of its meeting which was held in Taba yesterday said that " the Egyptian efforts which are working to draw the arrangements will be basics for the success of the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza." The Egyptian plan aims at preventing any operations against Israel as from Gaza after the withdrawal of the Israeli army for Israel's abstaining from incursions in the sector after its withdrawal.
On the other hand, the Jordanian King Abdullah II stressed his country's readiness to train members of the Palestinian police, but under the condition that this will be at the official request of the Palestinian national authority.
A Jordanian source said that the Jordanian King renewed yesterday during his meeting with the Palestinian prime minister Ahmad Qurei' Jordan's position which stressed the need that withdrawal from the sector will be part of comprehensive development from all Palestinian territories in the course of the roadmap.
On Tuesday, Jordan announced by his foreign minister Marwan Muasher that Amman's decision over training the Palestinian police forces will depend on the results of talks between Egypt, Israel and the Palestinians.
Qurei' is scheduled to meet on Sunday in Ramullah with the American assistant secretary general in charge of the Middle East file William Burns.
Palestinian sources said that the talks will deal with current conditions in the Palestinian territories and the plan of the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon on unilateral withdrawal from Gaza and issues relating to the roadmap.
Meantime, the Israeli soldiers blocked the old city of Nablus and imposed curfew on it and launched vast mopping up operations in the houses there in search of gunmen. The occupation army said that they found an explosive belt containing 20 Kg of explosives.
The occupation forces which broke into the city on Wednesday evening and destroyed the house which it claimed it found the explosive belt, while Palestinians stressed the detention of several citizens in the city.
Witnesses in the city said that three Palestinians were injured during the vast mopping up operation that took place in the city.
Earlier in the day, three Palestinians were killed in the city by the bullets of the occupation forces in Gaza.
Al-Aqsa group of the Palestine national liberation movement ( Fatah) al-Quds groups, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement claimed jointly responsibility for the operation in which two Palestinians were killed and the occupation army said they were trying to approach from Doughit settlement near Beit Lahia in Gaza.
