Spanish Foreign Minister highlights Syria's role in ME peace

"Syria is a main factor of stability in the Middle East and it is a fault to neglect the need for the Syrian track," Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos said on Thursday, stressing the inevitability of pushing the peace process in the region in line with the international resolutions.

In an interview given to Spanish daily El-Vanguarda today, Moratinos added that the disappointment and volatility that the Arab and Islamic world living in; are a result of not solving the Palestinian cause.

He pointed out that unless finding a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause and the Arab-Israeli conflict is found, all the international efforts will lead to inadequate outcomes.

Moratinos called for just relations between the Western and the Arab and Islamic worlds.
