French minister calls for honoring the truce in Darfour

The French minister commissioned for foreign affairs, Rono Mozolieh, stressed during talks he had held on Tuesday with the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir the need of honoring the cease fire agreement in Darfour to the west of Sudan.
The French minister added following his meeting Tuesday morning in Khartoum with al-Bashir that he stressed during his talks the " need of getting rid off problems raised by the activities of the militias which the Sudanese government is accused of supporting ( Janjuwid ) and creating the appropriate conditions for the return back of the evacuees to their homes as soon as possible.
On the other hand, a meeting was held in Paris yesterday between a high ranking delegation representing the Sudanese government and officials of the Sudan's rebel movement in Darfour.
The Sudanese news agency stated that the session started with an open session to be followed by work sessions to last for five days to discuss aspects of the situation in Darfour district in Darfour area to the west of Sudan. The agency said that the French foreign minister will play a role in the negotiations.
