Palestine-Israel, Politics, 6/23/2004
Palestinian medical sources announced the killing of two Palestinians by the bullets of the occupation forces and injuring a third during a continued incursion operation for these forces in Beit Hanoun to the north of Gaza.
Witnesses said that the two killed men Khaled Jamal al-Shabbari ( 21 year old) from al-Aqsa group of the Palestinian national liberation movement ( Fatah) and Ibrahim Salha ( 19 year old) were hit by several bullets.
Palestinian security forces said that the occupation forces constructed a route into the depth of the Palestinian lands for 2 kilometers and four meters width to the east of Beit Hanoun and occupied one house in the area.
In the West Bank, 10 Palestinians were killed in al-Zaweha village to the south of Nablus in confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces during a peaceful march from the village towards the wall of separation.
On the other hand, the Fatah movement denied any links between a statement which carried the signature of the 10 Palestinian groups, including Fatah, pertinent to the plan of the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon and the role of certain Arab states in it. In a statement Fatah stressed its principled position in welcoming the Israeli withdrawal from any part of the occupied Palestinian territories in being a militant, historical and national achievement, according to the statement.
The movement highlighted the Egyptian role which was described as a supportive for the Palestinian people in their struggle to liberate their lands and establish their own state.
The groups statement had opposed any security role to be played by Egypt and Jordan in the West Bank and Gaza after the Israeli withdrawal, according to the plan of the Israeli government for unilateral separation with the Palestinians.
