European observers head for Darfour

The European Union announced yesterday that European observers arrived in Sudan to help the African federation in monitoring the cease fire in Darfour district to the west of Sudan.
The African federation had decided to deploy 120 observers in Darfour to monitor the cease fire which was finalized between Khartoum and two rebels movement in April.
The EU had announced it will provide 12 million Euros to support the observer forces and will dispatch 6 to 9 observers to Darfour.
