Washington warns against nearby attacks in Saudi Arabia, Americans to leave it
Saudi Arabia-USA, Politics, 6/18/2004

The US renewed its call on the Americans not to travel to Saudi Arabia and also not to live in it, calling on the Americans there to leave the country as soon as possible.

The US Department Of State said that it continues to receive information indicating that what it described as extremists are planning to launch attacks against the American and western interests there.

The US renewed the call for caution already issued on April 15 so as the American citizens to take into consideration the recent attacks against the American citizens which resulted in killing and wounding and also the kidnapping of one American." With the approaching of the expiry of the 72 hour time set by the kidnappers of the American hostage to execute him if the Saudi authorities will not release the detainees of al-Qaida organization, the son of the American hostage Paul Marshal Johnson asked the Saudi authorities to negotiate with the kidnappers of his father to release him.

The son of the American hostage who works as an aviation engineer in Riyadh considered in a statement through the NBC network that it is possible to reach a settlement with the kidnappers. He said I do not think they want the Saudi authorities to release hundreds of persons.. I know an agreement can be reached." The family of the American which al-Qaida organization in the Arab Peninsula led by Abdul Aziz al-Muqarrin announced via a site on the Internet it has been holding since Tuesday, vowed yesterday not to permit him ( the hostage) to Saudi Arabia in an attempt to convince his kidnappers of releasing him.

However, these appeals are opposed by the rejection of both the governments of Saudi Arabia and the USA to negotiate with the kidnappers or respond to their demands.
