Damascus denies Khaddam's intention to resign
Syria, Politics, 6/18/2004

A well-informed Syrian source denied any intention of the Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam to retire or resign from his post despite rumors spread to this effect recently.

The source which is close to Khaddam said that this saying ( about resignation or retirement of the vice President) "is baseless" and is in the course of " rumors and is unrealistic."
