Syria hands over one wanted Islamist to France

The French ministry of the interior announced that Syria yesterday handed over the Islamist Saeed Aref suspected to have links to al-Qaida organization. In a statement, the ministry said that Aref, Algerian born, was arrested several hours ago in Syria, adding he is wanted by the French authorities since months.
It is however, assumed that Aref had worked with what was called " Frankfurt group" which planned for a failed attack in Strasburg in 2000.
