Libyan paper criticizes strongly the ruling family in Saudi Arabia

The Libyan daily al-Zahf al-Akhdar strongly attacked the Saudi regime and the ruling family, while the Saudi daily Okaz talked about an Egyptian initiative to contain the crisis which is escalating between Libya and the Kingdom since 2003 as a result of the unmasking of the attempt to disclose an assassination attempt against the Saudi crown prince.
In its editorial, the Libyan daily al-Zahf al-Akhder said that the " history of the ruling family ( al-Saud) is a humiliating one, crowned with shame and their history is filled with conspiracy against all progressive forces, and that scandals of this family are widely spread."
Meantime, the Saudi daily Okaz spoke about an Egyptian initiative to contain the crisis between Libya and Saudi Arabia after the Egyptian authorities arrested wanted Libyans one of them is involved in the conspiracy of trying to assassinate crown prince Abdullah. The paper quoted well-informed sources saying that Cairo made real efforts in this regard since November 2003 after the Egyptian authorities arrested Abdul Fattah al-Ghoushe and Muhammad Ismael who was described as being a colonel in the Libyan intelligence.
The source disclosed that the Saudi authorities notified its Egyptian peer that the two detained men are wanted and Egypt returned back the two wanted to the Kingdom in a special plane. The paper said that Libya tried to convince Cairo not to hand over the two said men to Saudi Arabia rather to the Libyan authorities. But Cairo rejected the Libyan request. A matter which resulted in certain crisis between Cairo and Tripoli.
The paper explained the measures taken by Libya by the beginning of this year against the Egyptian workers was a punishment to Cairo over handing over the two wanted to the Kingdom.
