Amman denies the expulsion of a Jordanian delegation from Jenin
Jordan-Palestine, Politics, 6/14/2004

The spokeswoman for the Jordanian government Asmaa al-Khuder on Saturday denied news that a Jordanian delegation was forced to leave the Palestinian town of Jenin under the threat of members of al-Aqsa group of the Fatah Movement.

The groups' official Zakareya al-Zubeidi stressed that a Jordanian security delegation visiting Jenin was obliged to leave it under the threats of an armed group belonging to al-Aqsa groups.

But one Palestinian diplomat in Amman said that the matters related to a "media delegation for the Jordanian army" sent to the West Bank to hold field investigations given by Jordan to Ramullah and Jenin areas. Khuder stressed that the delegation which is currently visiting the Palestinian territories is a Jordanian media delegation from the moral guidance directorate in the Jordanian armed forces and TV and that its is touring the two Jordanian military hospitals in Jenin and Ramullah.
