Al-Ibraheimi renews criticism for the Israeli occupation

The UN special envoy to Iraq, Elakhder al-Ibraheimi, yesterday considered that the Israeli- Palestinian conflict " affects what is taking place in Iraq."
Al-Ibraheimi told the CNN that the ( Israeli) occupation is actually the main reason for the problem and "I am fully confident that in the day when occupation ends the atmospheres will be quite different in the Middle east and the relations between Israel and its neighbors including the Palestinian people will be quite different." Earlier, al-Ibraheimi said that the Israeli policy poisoned the conditions in the region.
Replying to a question on the danger of the eruption of a civil war in Iraq al-Ibraheimi considered " there are many reasons which call for optimism, however, there are some black clouds in the horizon."
