Yemen: four are killed in a fire launching in a Mosque

Yemeni police and tribal sources yesterday announced that four persons were killed and other 6 wounded when one gunman opened fire at worshippers during Friday's prayers in a mosque in Zammar province in the center of Yemen.

Witnesses said that the attacker called Abdul Fattah Saleh al-Ghamri ( 34 year old) broke into Okaz mosque which is crowded by worshippers in Jebel al-Lesi village in Zammar, 100 Km to the south of Sanaa and opened fire at the worshippers randomly with his machinegun.

In a statement, the ministry of the Interior said that the attacker was killed in a fire exchange with the security forces which besieged his house. But witnesses said that the man killed himsled by bullets. Local citizens said that the attacker had a row with two of the worshipper earlier in the day.
