Claims that Saddam Hussein was tortured
Iraq, Politics, 6/10/2004

The Jordanian lawyer in charge of defending Saddam Hussein, Muhammad al-Rashdan, said yesterday that he believes the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was tortured at the hands of his American jailers despite the message he had sent to his two daughters Raghad and Rana indicating he enjoys a high spirit.

Rashdan explained that he has a copy of a report by the ICRC issued on Januray 21 saying that health conditions of Saddam Hussein is good " but he has slight wounds." He added that this is " a flagrant evidence on that the Iraqi President was exposed to physical and psychological tortures and violence."
