American Venil comany to continue in Saudi Arabia despite killing of its employee; Washington commends Riyadh on fighting of extremists

The American Venil company which supervises the training of the national guards in Saudi Arabia said yesterday it does not think currently of evacuating its employees who work in Saudi Arabia following the killing of one of its American staff member in Riyadh on Tuesday.
An official in the company was asked if the company will evacuate its western staff and he answered " I do not think so." The official, who confirmed that the killed man is called Robert Jacobs -- refrained to comment on whether the company which affiliates "to Northrop Gruman " foundation will ask the Saudi authorities to tighten security measures.
The American embassy in Riyadh yesterday renewed the call on 35,000 Amerians in Saudi Arabia to leave it. A spokesman for the embassy said " we continue to urge the Americans to consider seriously leaving the country."
For her part, the advisor of the US President for the Internal security affairs Fran Townsand said that Washington is pleased because the Saudi government is sparing no efforts to eliminate Islamists extremists in the country.
She added that "it is clear that the terrorist raised their operations standards to a good level." She continued that the Saudi security forces " actually achieved some progress" in confrontation of the Islamists. She explained that the mojarity of the recent operations against the Americans were made by pistols rather than large explosions like al-Khober explosion in 1996 which resulted in killing 19 American military men.
Meantime, the Saudi authorities decided to give four names of the security forces who were killed in confrontations with the extremists to streets in Riyadh and Mecca.
