Morocco's new government; list of ministers

King Mohammed VI of Morocco appointed this Tuesday, new members of the Government as part of a "technical ministerial readjustment," announced the spokesman for the palace, Hassan Aourid.
The spokesman explained that the cabinet readjustment aims at "adapting the structure and the composition of the Government to the priorities and programs that must be carried out by the Government, in conformity with the high orientations of HM the King."
The new government, the spokesman went on, was appointed upon "proposal of the Prime Minister, in accordance with article 24 of the constitution."
Here follows the new government line-up, after the "technical readjustment:"
- MR. Driss Jettou: Prime Minister
- MR. Abbas El Fassi: Minister of state
- MR. Mohamed Benaissa: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation
- MR. Al Mostafa Sahel: Minister of the Interior
- MR. Mohamed Bouzoubaa: Minister of Justice
- MR. Ahmed Toufiq: Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs
- MR. Mohamed El Yazghi: Minister of Territory Development, Water and Environment
- MR. Fathallah Oualalou: Minister of Finance and Privatization
- MR. Abdessadek Rabiaa: Secretary General of the Government
- MR. Mohand Laenser: Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Sea Fisheries
