Malaysian Foreign Minister rejects American sanctions against Syria

Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar In Kuala Lumpur reiterated his country's rejection to the American threats and economic sanctions imposed on Syria.

During a meeting with media delegations participating in the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies OANA Conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Albar underlined the importance of the constructive dialogue as the best means for resolving all pending issues between Syria and Washington.

Regarding the Israeli occupation, he depicted Israeli practices as a blatant violation of the international law and the UN resolutions, asserting importance of curbing the Israeli destructive policy.

Al-Bar pointed out to the pivotal role that the UN should play in Iraq to enhance its stability and restore sovereignty.

He also asserted importance of uniting international efforts to fight terrorism in line with the international law.
