French director shoots movie in Tangiers with 2 megastars
Morocco, Local, 6/8/2004

French director, Andre Techine, has started shooting his movie "Les temps qui changent" (changing times) co-starring French megastars Cathernine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu.

The movie is a sentimental tragedy taking place in Tangiers in the 50's. Cecile, played by Deneuve, is living there with her Moroccan husband when a former lover of her, Depardieu, shows up and tries to re-conquer her love.

Depardieu and Deneuve are co-starring for the seventh time in a movie.

Asked by MAP about her feelings about the Tangiers location as she seized the opportunity of her stay in Tangiers to present her book "A l'Ombre de soi-meme" (in the shadow of one's self), Deneuve said she is impressed by the light in the city.

The movie maker has directed over 15 movies.
