Morocco participates in Spanish annual military maneuvers

Morocco's Royal Navy will take part June 5-17 in the annual military maneuvers of the Spanish army, titled this year "Neotapon-04," the Spanish navy said Friday.

These maneuvers will take place in the Gibraltar straight, the Alboran sea, the training camps of la Sierra del Retin (Cadiz, south) and of Alvarez de Sotomayor (Almeria, south), with the participation of 12,000 men and 41 warships, including 22 of the armada and 19 of other countries.

Besides Morocco, Germany, Belgium, Canada, the US, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Britain and Turkey will be partaking in the exercise, led by Admiral Angel Tello.
