Ministers of Oil at the OPEC visits Syria

Ministers of Oil at the OPEC, at the end of their conference recently held in Beirut, paid a visit to Damascus upon an invitation by Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Ibrahim Haddad.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Haddad underlined that this visit expresses that oil Ministers at the OPEC are interested to know more about the oil situations in Syria " We invited Ministers of Oil at the OPEC to visit Damascus to be acquainted with historical sites, the economic and oil situations in Syria," Haddad added.

He stressed Syria's hope to join the organization noting to her continuous efforts to develop oil fields and to explore new ones.

Syria participated in the OPEC Ministerial discussions held in Beirut and made a contribution in the final statement as an observer member.
