Zaqzouq: Islamic call enjoys state support

Minister of Awkaf and Head of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Mahmoud Hamdy Zaqzouq said that the Islamic call enjoys constant support by the government and the President.

These statements came during the Minister's meeting with the Directors of the Awkaf directorates as well as leading Imams in all the governorates.

The Minister asked the Imams to pay attention to developing their religious discourse so as to cope with the latest developments and promote the citizens' thought and conduct, with the aim of correcting most of the misconceptions about Islam.

The Minister also noted to the importance of rearranging of the Islamic call priorities to include the immediate issues related with the future of the homeland and the nation.

Meanwhile, the Minister warned against exploiting the mosque to serve some purposes other than the Islamic call.
