Acts of arrest in Syria and Jordan as a result of information from South Africa

South Africa announced it has disclosed a conspiracy prepared by members in al-Qaida organization " at evil intention" to obstruct the general elections which took place on April 14, five days before its set date.

The police commissioner Jacky Sililio said that South Africa foiled a plan connected to al-Qaida organization in order to obstruct general elections which took place in April and conveyed information resulted in acts of detention in Jordan, Syria and Britain.

He said in statements before a Parliamentary committee quoted by South Africa radio yesterday " we arrested some people among those who have bad intention against this country.. five days before the elections.. we did not notify any one on that.." he added " the result is what you have seen in Jordan during the recent days when several persons were detained described as members in al- Qaida. "Several persons were detained in Syria as a result of our co-operation." He added as talking before the security and safety committee in the parliament that the security operations extended to Britain.
