Al-Assad confers with Vatican Papal Nuncio

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad accepted on Thursday the credentials of the Vatican Papal Nuncio to Syria, Monsignor Giovanni Battista Morandi.
Following the ceremony which was attended by Foreign Minister Farouk alShara and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Ghassan Laham, President al-Assad received the Morandi and exchanged with him cordial words and wished him success in his new mission.
