Syria- Egyptian joint electric cooperation

Egyptian Electric Holding Company decided Wednesday on launching the Syrian-Egyptian Company for Electric Studies and Engineering Consultations.
In a statement, Egyptian Minister of Electricity Hassan Younis pointed out that the company will concentrate on electric and mechanical research for power projects in the fields of production, transport and distribution in addition to arranging programs and training courses.
He stressed importance of this company for developing local industry of equipment used in electric projects.
The capital of the Syrian-Egyptian Damascus-based Company amounts to 20 million Syrian Pounds equally funded by the two states.
