Morocco hails Turkey stance in Sahara issue
Morocco-Turkey, Politics, 5/26/2004

Moroccan Prime Minister, Driss Jettou, hailed here Tuesday the position of Turkey over the Sahara. The Moroccan Sahara, has been a subject of dispute between Morocco and the Algeria-backed Polisario secessionists for nearly three decades now.

At a meeting with visiting Turkish parliament speaker, Bulent Arine, the Moroccan minister also praised Turkey's "support of Morocco's initiatives that encourage a political solution" with respect of the kingdom's "sovereignty over all its territory," the prime minister's department said in a release.
