Egypt's council's board chairman and sanctions on Syria

Chairman of the Egyptian Council's Board for Foreign affairs Mohammad Shaker underlined that the American sanctions is a dangerous move against all the region's countries, not only against Syria.

In a lecture delivered at a cultural symposium in Amman, Shaker pointed out that the American step targets Syria's firm national stances.

He underlined that the unilateral system controlling the world could lead to destruction, asserting that the only way to evade the US hegemony is boosting the UN's role, expanding membership at the Security Council and reconsidering its mechanism.
