Kenya announces removing of obstacles before an inter- Sudanese peace agreement

The Kenyan foreign ministry announced that the Sudanese government and the southern rebels (people's movement for the liberation of Sudan) were able to solve latest issues of differences which was a bulwark before reaching a comprehensive peace agreement ending a civil war that has lasted for 21 years.
The spokesman for the Kenyan foreign ministry said that the two sides are planning to sign several protocols today ( Wednesday) at the headquarters of the negotiations at Nevasha resort in Kenya. He described what was reached as a fundamental progress in the process of negotiations.
News reports in Kenya said that there is a tremendous optimism between the two delegations and the Kenyan mediator. The reports indicated that a genuine progress was achieved over the file of sharing the authority and the three areas of Eibi, the southern Blue Nile and al-Nouba mountain, in addition to the file of the capital, the Sharia and relations of non- Muslims to it.
The news reports also said that the possibility of signing a peace agreement today depends on a meeting between the Sudanese Vice President Ali Othman Taha and leader of the people's movement John Garang yesterday.
