Human resources promotion highlighted by trade minister

Syria's Economic and Trade Minister Ghassan Rifaee stressed importance of developing human resources in responding to political, economic and social changes the world is witnessing.

The Minister pointed out that man is the decisive factor in any social and economic progress and a pivotal element for any plan on social and economic development.

Rifai was speaking Sunday in an opening ceremony of a course on developing Syrian cadres as part of joint regional training program for 2004 sponsored by the Institute of Economic Policies of the Arab Monetary Fund and Institute of International Monetary Fund ( IMF ).

For her part, representative of the IMF Majeda Qandeel asserted also importance of the course participated by elite of state employees and experts, wishing the course success in line with aims of the economic reform program in Syria. The 13-day course will study a lot of economical subjects and analyze trade and financial policies.
