AL chief: Arab leaders adopt reforms program, fighting terrorism

The secretary general of the Arab League Amr Moussa announced the consent of the Arab summit which concluded its works yesterday in Tunisia on the political reforms program and fighting international terrorism. The program is composed of 13 points.

In a speech he had delivered in conclusion of the Arab summit which was held on May 22 and 23, Moussa said that the resolutions of the summit includes developing the system of the joint Arab action and the social and economic council.

He added that the Arab leaders agreed on a document of oath and solidarity among the Arab states and the final statement project and Tunisia's declaration project.

Moussa explained that the consent of the oath document was made by signing it by initials, as " a recall for the Arab league document with the aim to prevent partition and maintain solidarity to restore back the usurped Arab lands and clinging to the Arab peace initiative and founding the independent Palestinian state." The Arab leaders vowed to work for complete Israeli withdrawal from the Arab lands occupied in 1967; support for the United Arab Emirates to restore back its three occupied islands and strengthening its collective force and work to settle inter- Arab disputes by peaceful means.

The participants in the meeting vowed to continue comprehensive reform steps in all fields so as to achieve optimum sustainable development and enhance the concept of citizenship and support human rights and work for enhancing the role of the Arab women to building the society in line with Arab values and drawing economic integration among the Arab states.
