Ukrainian for a UN role in Iraq

Ukranian Prime Minister Victor Yanukovych has reiterated his country's stance that calls for speeding up the transfer of power to the Iraqis, and for the United Nations to embark on a vital role to restore security and stability to Iraq.
In a statement to reporters following a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart, Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha in Kiev, Yanukovych underlined the importance of determining the period time during which the Ukrainian troops are scheduled to remain in Iraq, expressing hope that such a period must be as short as possible.
